Patta Magazine Volume 2

The Patta Magazine Volume 2 is available now. This latest iteration of the magazine takes you through the ever-expanding Patta universe, showcasing diverse stories, conversations, perspectives and creative expression. This limited edition Fall/Winter issue is filled with captivating visuals, exclusive interviews and thought-provoking features. For Volume 2, we host three unique cover stars: Hemlocke Springs, Salehe Bembury, and Pink Siifu, who share their creative journeys with sincerity and warmth.

Accompanying these interviews are articles on the emerging EDM scene in Lagos, which provides a safe space for all ravers despite the country's oppressive LGBTQ+ laws, Dr Aomar Boum’s essay on Morocco’s Ultras, a movement traditionally associated with football hooliganism has evolved into a vehicle of political resistance and community action; as well as a conversation between Patta’s Head of Photography Violette Esmeralda and South African-Dutch photographer Farren van Wyk. Artist-in-resident and expert yarn spinner ESPO adorns the magazine's back cover, and the Cherub, featured throughout our latest collection, is included as a pullout poster.
